Starting 9:00 to 12:00 noon we will head over to the Windermere House Resort, a luxury hotel property and meet in the front lawn overlooking Lake Rosseau for a day of painting, drawing and lunch. The resort event team are excited to welcome us back with many views from its well looked after gardens and large veranda. During this week Windermere Village is the epi-centre of the 2026 Muskoka Chautauqua Summer Arts Festival.
The Bala Plein Air group is looking forward to welcoming visiting members of the Niagara Plein Air Artists group who will be joining us for this session. Plan to stay for lunch at the Windermere Pub to talk art and plein air adventures with artists who meet to paint together all over the Niagara Peninsula. We will be able to continue painting in the afternoon after lunch for those who wish to stay.

DIRECTIONS: The Windermere House Resort is a large white hotel building at 2509 Muskoka District Road 4. This is a 33 minute drive from Bala and a 43 minute drive from Gravenhurst. Take Hwy #11 north to Hwy #4. The road is twisty at points, so take care while driving to watch for deer and wildlife. Google Map here.
