INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARTISTS
Step 1. After reviewing the Guidelines for Exhibition communicate your interest to exhibit, by October 7, 2024. If an eligible artist and space is available you will receive a reply confirming your addition to the List of Exhibiting Artists or the wait list.
Step 2. Fill in the Online Entry Form. Details will be used by the Display Committee to create labels for each painting. (Name of artist, painting name, location, and price if for sale). Alternatively you can print a paper copy of the Entry Form, fill in, scan and send in as pdf.
Step 3. Prepare eligible artwork. Art work may be framed or unframed, but must be ready to hang – with wire or hooks on back. The number of pieces will need to fit inside a display area of 36″ X 42″.
Step 4. Artists are encouraged to volunteer for a shift at the Festival If unable to volunteer, an Entry Fee of $30 is payable to the Bala Plein Air Group of $30.
Bala Plein Air Group
The Bala Plein Air Group, a volunteer-led group and will provide the following to support the Exhibition:
- Display Panels & exhibition signage inside the arena
- Name Plate for each artist
- Produce consistent labels for each individual artwork.
- Will hang art and setup display for the public.
- Provide instructions and criteria to the Jurists and award prizes ahead of the opening of the festival.
- Run the scavenger hunt for children, raffle draw and People’s Choice Award voting process during the festival.
- Manage sales transactions during the Festival, wrap and manage pickup of sold art work at end of the festival. Reimburse artists for sales, less agreed upon commissions following the Festival.
- Liaise with Festival Organizing Committee and sponsors on behalf of Exhibiting artists.
